The Medical Coding Specialist will code medical records utilizing ICD-10-CM, CPT-4, and HCPCS coding conventions. Handles confidential patient medical records and abides by HIPAA. Reviews each medical record to assure specificity of diagnoses, procedures and appropriate/optimal reimbursement for hospital and/or professional charges. This position will be coding for the hospital (CAH) and the Rural Health Clinic. This position can be a remote position.
Some roles may be based outside of our Colorado office (as stated in the job description). Roles based outside of our primary office can sit in any of the following states: AZ, CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, ID, IL, KS, MA, MD, MI, MN, NC, NJ, OH, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, and WI.
