We are a specialized neurology and pain management clinic participating in AAPC’s Project Xtern to provide real-world experience for aspiring Certified Professional Coders. Our externship program offers practical training in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary medical environment. You will: Gain hands-on experience with ICD-10 , CPT , and HCPCS Level II coding related to neurology, interventional pain procedures, and behavioral health. Learn and assist with documentation review and code validation for services such as E&M visits , injections , nerve blocks , Botox treatments , RFA , and telehealth encounters . Observe workflows in medical billing , prior authorizations , and compliance audits . Practice using electronic health records (EHR/EMR) and clearinghouse systems.
