This includes mentorship and direct management of the outpatient medical coding team. The Supervisor of Medical Coding understands the organization’s core information technology and information management competencies to bring value to business processes and quality improvement initiatives. The Supervisor interacts with internal and external customers to ensure continuous improvement efforts are being achieved and new coding practices are being implemented. This will require periodic audits of documentation and productivity reports of staff.
