Medical Coding Specialist (Flexible Schedule Options) The Certified Medical Coder or Charge Entry Specialist is responsible for reviewing a patient's medical records after a visit and translating into codes that insurers use to process claims. This includes confirming treatment with providers and medical staff, identifying missing information and submitting claims to insurers for reimbursement.
