Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately code vascular procedures using ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations and guidelines.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify ambiguous documentation.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines and industry regulations.
- Participate in audits and quality assurance processes to ensure coding accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in vascular coding.
- Certification from AAPC or AHIMA (e.g., CPC, CCS, RHIT, or RHIA).
- In-depth knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
