Partners in Women's Healthcare is seeking an Experienced Insurance Specialist to join our Billing Department! We are an independent, busy, private practice. Are you the perfect addition to our team?

Job Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinating patient and insurance billings for Partners in Women's Healthcare Professional OB/GYN services both in the office and in facility settings.
  • Verify eligibility on requested services and notify patients of financial responsibility via telephone and Patient Portal or mail.
  • Educate obstetrical patients regarding billing policies, obtain insurance benefits, and monitor payment of account.
  • Discusses outstanding balances with patients prior to appointment scheduling.
  • Establishes Care Credit or Easy Pay payment plans to help patients manage payment of bills.
  • Reviews delinquent accounts for submission to collection agencies.
  • Processes insurance and/or patient payments to patient accounts in computerized system.
  • Bills insurance companies or other third parties to secure payment for patients.
  • Responds to patient billing and statement inquiries.
  • Generates and reviews Refunds for processing.
  • Balances insurance charges/payments on a daily basis.
  • Creates and mails insurance claims and patient statements.
  • Reviews and works denials from insurance companies to obtain payment.
  • Files Appeals or provides Medical Records to Insurance Companies for Payments.
  • Performs End of Day Balancing for the Practice.
  • Works AR report weekly to resolve claims.
  • Verifies all entries made by cashiers and makes corrections if necessary.
  • Trains appropriate personnel in computerized billing system.
  • Makes recommendations to management for write-offs.
  • Keeps work area stocked and maintained in an orderly fashion.
  • Attends Staff meetings.
  • Follows OSHA/HIPAA guidelines.
  • Medent EMR
  • Knowledge of Value Based Billing and CPC certifications are a plus!
  • Applicants should have experience in working EOB's and posting payments.

Education and/or Experience Requirements

  • Certificate from college or technical school with One-year related experience
  • High School Diploma with Two-years related experience and/or training
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • CPC (not required but preferred)

Environment / Working Conditions

  • Work is performed in person in a medical practice environment. Involves frequent contact with staff and the public. Remote work is not available.

  • Partners in Women’s Healthcare follows the guidance and recommendations provided by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC)/ Pennsylvania Department of Health. Covid vaccines/boosters are preferred but not required.

Salary: Starting at $18.00 per hour, salary will be based on education and years of experience. $18.00 is starting salary for 1 Year Education and 1 Year Experience
