The inpatient coder is responsible for reviewing inpatient medical records and assigning accurate diagnosis and procedure codes. Ensures compliance with coding standards, payer policies, and regulatory guidelines to support timely and correct reimbursement. Works closely with clinical documentation and billing teams to uphold the integrity of patient records. Required to have orthopedic and spinal surgery coding experience. Additionally, it is preferred that they have experience with podiatry, limb salvage, and vascular procedures.
