IPTAR is a not for profit training institute and membership society. It runs a low fee psychotherapy and psychoanalytic psychotherapy clinical center where over 10000 patients from the metropolitan area are seen. IPTAR is engaged in training therapists for adults and children and adolescents. It has several ancillary programs providing services for low or no fee to the community, e.g. Parent and Infant Program, Asylum Program. There are about 200 members and 80 candidates in training at IPTAR. We hold a permanent charter from the state of New York.
