Description: OGA is seeking a full-time Certified Coder. This position will take place Monday through Friday, during regular business hours (8am - 5pm) at our Meridian clinic location. No weekend or evenings required.

We are a privately owned company with about 85 employees, and three clinic locaitons in the Valley (Meridian, Nampa & Eagle). General Position Responsibilities for the Certified Coder Include:

  • Codes daily charge tickets according to current CPT, ICD-10CM, and HCPCS guidelines as set forth by ACOG, Medicare, Medicaid, and various insurance companies.
  • Codes all inpatient/outpatient charges turned in by physicians for obstetrical care, surgeries, and hospital-based care for professional services in accordance with current coding guidelines.
  • Assists in identifying areas where additional training is needed. Will follow up and provide needed training to physicians, business office managers, and other staff.
  • Audits and posts all daily tickets and charges.
  • Batches daily charge tickets, accounting for all laboratory charges, properly charging out labs for which the clinic is billed and those which the reference lab bills directly.
  • Reconciliation of necessary billing and reports, etc.

Position Requirements:

  • American Academy of Professional Coders Certified - Certification prior to hire date
  • Familiarity with ICD-10 codes and procedures
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years CPC experience preferred, but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $28.00 per hour
