Job Description Essential Functions: * Compile and review charge data submitted by providers ensuring accuracy in the EMR software resulting in timely filing for all billable services. * Create new patient records and accurately enter demographic, authorization and insurance information into charge capture software or other billing softwares. * Research and resolve rejected and unbillable claims. * Resolve error reports associated with the billing process, identify and report error patterns, and, when necessary, assist in design and implementation of workflow changes to reduce billing errors. * Assist with rebilling accounts when necessary * Ensure all claims are processed daily. * Query providers when claims are denied for insufficient documentation. * Prepare and perform coding audits to ensure consistent, high quality coding * Post all payments received * Research and resolve overpayments and forwarding balances from payers. * Correct outstanding credits. * Stay in contact with...
