Job Summary This position requires a comprehensive high level knowledge of clinical science, advanced coding skills and knowledge of billing systems and health care documentation. The senior coder will be required to research complicated situations, provide education and training to other coders regarding documentation improvement strategies and research denials and write rebuttal letters. This position will also serve as the trainer and auditor for new hires. Assigns codes for diagnosis and medical procedures using the 10th revision of the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems (ICD 10) and Current Procedural Terminology (CPT).
