DEPARTMENT: LABORATORY FACILITY: Tift Regional Medical Center WORK TYPE: Full Time SHIFT: Varied SUMMARY: The Medical Technologist (MT) Supervisor is responsible for training and overall operations of one area of the laboratory (hematology, chemistry, microbiology, or blood bank). Their duties include monitoring and ordering supplies, performing competency checks on staff, and assigning proficiency testing surveys. In addition, they are charged with regular monitoring of department quality assurance and quality control, maintaining accreditation readiness and regulatory compliance, and being knowledgeable about all aspects of their department.
