Overview The Laboratory General Supervisor is responsible for leading daily operations of the Clinical Laboratory (Blood Bank, Chemistry, Coagulation, Hematology, Microbiology, Molecular and Urinalysis). S/he ensures lab services are best practices with focus on patients and cost containment that are implemented in an expeditious manner. The Supervisor, assisting the Manager/Director in their duties, establishes and directs the short and long-term vision, values and goals of the laboratory. S/he manages the department's quality assurance, education, proficiency testing, competency validation, safety, laboratory information service and other administrative functions.
