Position Summary 100% Remote working 40 hrs/week Under the general direction of the Coding Manager, this position is responsible for the accurate assignment of ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding of diagnoses and procedures for medical records in multiple different outpatient and Inpatient settings including ASU, OBSV, interventional radiology/cardiac cath/angiography records, Emergency department and other areas as needed. Position includes performing abstracting, coding and charging to determine accuracy and completeness of the hospital record, utilizing the 3M Coding Reimbursement and Epic EMR systems to compile data. The Interventional Radiology Coder evaluates medical necessity and Correct Coding Initiative edits and resolves them accurately.
