Description Applies appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes to individual patient health information for data retrieval, analysis, and claims processing. Works all coding associated work queues including error files. Work in conjunction with the business office for coding issues to facilitate claims processing. Requirements One year medical coding certificate from college or technical school; or one year related coding experience. AHIMA or AAPC (American Association of Professional Coders) certificate or willingness to train and achieve certification.
