Position Summary: The Medical Records Specialist/Coder (PRN) supports the medical records department through a variety of clerical, technical and related support services. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Prepares the patient chart for discharge process and assembles components in the correct order. Assigns and abstracts medical and consultant data. Codes discharged patients' accounts as needed.
