JOB SUMMARY This position facilitates positive image for Home Care. This position bills home health services accurately and according to regulations to ensure that maximum and appropriate reimbursement is obtained. This role also includes other duties assigned and based on the home care agency's needs and requirements. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Completes and files Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance claim information. Post all payments by protocol. Reviews correspondence from Medicare, Medicaid and other insurance regarding problems and denials. Responsible for keeping up to date with changes in Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance policy changes and educating other staff. Responsible for assuring that the agency meets its target for AR days. Responds to denials and other payment delays completely and promptly.
