Works closely with physicians, clinical documentation improvement specialist, quality, and patient finance staff. Plays a key role in billing, research, internal and external reporting, and regulatory compliance.Ensures accuracy of DRGs and appropriate extraction of core data into HIM abstracting system to data warehouse repository.
