ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Assignment of appropriate Evaluation and Management (E/M) level for professional services, ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, Modifiers, and Units of Service. * Analyze, evaluate, and review medical records to ensure accuracy of code assignment. * Demonstrates proficiency in coding assignments including ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS. * Knowledge of medical terminology to including general medical and surgical terms and abbreviations. * Ensures that health records demonstrate correct diagnosis code assignment according to the ordered procedure. * Prepare Physician queries and provide feedback related to code validation audits, medical policies or other reviews. * Ability to abstract pertinent information from medical policies as it relates to documentation requirements and medical necessity....
