Overview Mountain View Hospital is looking for a Certified Medical Coder to join our team! Role: WORKERS COMP - CERTIFIED MEDICAL CODER at Mountain View Hospital. Job Summary Accountable for conversion of diagnoses and treatment procedures into codes using an international classification of diseases. The coder assigns ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, and/or HCPCS codes creating APC or DRG group assignment for reimbursement purposes. Requires skill in the sequencing of diagnoses/procedures to optimize reimbursement. Must be able to read and interpret operative reports, history and physicals, physician orders, and pathology reports to determine the correct coding.
