Description The Medical Billing Specialist is responsible for processing electronic billing of medical claims. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Billing: Electronic transmission of insurance; hard-copy claims, patient statements. Account Aging: "Work" aged accounts by re-billing, contacting insurance and/or patients, applying appropriate adjustments. Claims Denials: Correct billing rejections; adjust accounts to reflect insurance terminations and/or effective dates. Education and Experience A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A minimum of one year of experience as a medical biller is required. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills are required.
