Job Description This position is remote with onsite requirements for initial onboarding, training, and as needed at any of the Inspira facilities. MAJOR FUNCTION : Coders will review clinical documentation and diagnostic results to extract data and apply appropriate ICD-10 and CPT codes for billing, internal and external reporting, research, and regulatory compliance. Under the direction of a Coding Manager, they will accurately code Emergency Room and/or Diagnostic records, maintaining proficiency in Emergency Room and Diagnostic coding using the current coding systems. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Completion of Acute Care Medical Coder program from an accredited institution or Graduate of an AHIMA accredited Associate's (RHIT) or Bachelor's (RHIA) Degree program required.
