Job Description This position is remote with onsite requirements for initial onboarding, training, and as needed at any of the Inspira facilities. MAJOR FUNCTION : Coders will review clinical documentation and diagnostic results to extract data and apply appropriate ICD-10 and CPT codes for billing, internal and external reporting, research, and regulatory compliance. Under the direction of a Coding Manager, they will accurately code Emergency Room and/or Diagnostic records, maintaining proficiency in Emergency Room and Diagnostic coding using the current coding systems. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Completion of Acute Care Medical Coder program from an accredited institution or Graduate of an AHIMA accredited Associate's (RHIT) or Bachelor's (RHIA) Degree program required. Associates degree in Health Information Management, or other health science related degree preferred. Experience: One year experience coding Emergency room records required...
