Job Description We are looking for a Medical Biller/coder to join our pain management/physical therapy office in Freeport, NY. Responsibilities: * Review and correct medical billing/coding * Submit worker's compensation and no-fault billing * Review aging reports and investigate reasons for nonpayment of claims * Contact insurance companies to determine status of the submitted claims * Verbal or written appeal on denied or underpaid claims * Fix claim errors and resubmit unclean claims * Document and follow up on appeals in timely manner * Post insurance payments * Respond to questions and complaints from patients or insurance companies * Receive and post payment to patient's account * Advise and follow-up with patients on unpaid accounts * Follow-up on late or missed payment notices * Prepare files for arbitration Qualifications: * Previous experience in billing, customer service, or other related fields * Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT and billing forms. * Excellent...
