Full time Certified Coder position available in our HIM Department. Duties include, but not limited to, responsible for all outpatient coding for both the hospital and designated clinics. In addition, this position is responsible for all medical records requests, request log, and billing for medical records service and analysis of charts. Licensure: CCS (Certified Coding Specialist). Previous Experience: Minimum one year prior experience in outpatient coding preferred in a hospital setting, knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding to include progression fees preferred. The employee should also be knowledgeable of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology as it pertains to the medical record.
