JOB SUMMARY: Ensures that coded data accurately reflects the patient's final diagnosis and his management in the Organization. Codes are to be used for diagnosis, procedure and physician indexing, statistics, trend analysis and reimbursement purposes. Exhibits the F.I.R.S.T. values (Friendliness, Innovation, Respect, Service, and Trust). ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Codes all patient records using ICD-10-CM, PCS, and/or CPT classification systems. Maintains patient confidentiality. Handles incoming calls.
