CUERO REGIONAL HOSPITAL IS SEARCHING FOR A PRN HIM TECH/OUTPATIENT CODER IN OUR HIM DEPARTMENT The Medical Records Tech/Outpatient Coder will be responsible for all clerical and outpatient coding functions. He/She is responsible for gathering all charts from floors daily. They will code all records associated with outpatient ancillary services, clinical lab, Ambulatory Care, and Physical Therapy. The employee is expected to be proficient in ICD-10 and CPT coding. They are responsible for abstracting all data into the Meditech system and using 3M software to code. They are responsible for analyzing charts and flagging for deficiencies and assigning to physicians for completion. They are Responsible for obtaining appropriate consents for the proper release of medical information. Assists with mail, walk in and fax requests for records.
