Medical Billing Specialist—Revenue Cycle Job Duties: This position is responsible for submitting claims to third-party payers for hospital, hospital-based providers, and physician clinic providers. The role includes pursuing collection of claims until payment is received from insurance companies performing the necessary steps to complete the billing process. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; healthcare experience preferred, post-secondary education may substitute for years of experience, minimum of 1 year of relevant experience preferred. Ideal candidates will have experience with billing in a critical access hospital; or professional billing experience, with the initiative to learn hospital billing and expand medical billing knowledge and skills.
